Sudan’s Kosti Fuel Depots Burn After RSF Drone Attacks

by Belinda

Fuel depots in the city of Kosti, located in Sudan’s southern White Nile state, were set on fire following drone attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a military source.

The source, who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity, said that RSF launched three drone strikes targeting the state’s fuel storage facilities. The attacks caused fires to erupt at the depots, which supply fuel to the region.

The RSF has been engaged in a violent conflict with Sudan’s army since April 2023. The ongoing war has led to widespread destruction and growing humanitarian concerns.
