Two cutting-edge companies, The Unmanned Company and Array Training, have made the exciting move to Sci-Tech Daresbury, a leading science and innovation campus in the North West, where they will continue to drive innovation and technological advancements in their respective fields.

Both companies have taken up residence at The Innovation Centre, a state-of-the-art 24,000 sq-ft facility at the heart of the campus. With their relocation, these businesses are bringing advanced technologies and specialized expertise that will fuel their growth and contribute to the broader tech ecosystem at Sci-Tech Daresbury.

The Unmanned Company, specializing in drone simulation, provides simulation-driven risk assessments and flight analysis to enhance the operational safety of complex drone missions. Their technology allows drone operators, event organizers, and security professionals to plan and execute missions that were once considered too risky or complicated. The company is also advancing the development of counter-drone systems aimed at helping defense and security organizations address the rising threat of hostile drones.

Dr. Ethan Bond, founder of The Unmanned Company, shared his excitement about the move: “We’re thrilled to join Sci-Tech Daresbury, an environment rich with innovation. The campus offers limitless collaboration opportunities with other cutting-edge technology companies, and we look forward to continuing our work here to improve the safety and operational success of complex drone missions.”

Array Training, recognized as a leader in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training, examination, and consulting, has also expanded its operations to Sci-Tech Daresbury. The company, renowned in the UK, works with industries such as construction, maritime, energy, and process plants to detect flaws in manufacturing and operational processes. As the team looks to grow its presence in the North West, they aim to develop and deliver training on-site at The Innovation Centre, leveraging the world-class facilities available at the campus.

Bill Donaldson, Business Development & Commercial Director at Array Training, commented: “Our move to Sci-Tech Daresbury reflects our commitment to growth in the North West. The campus offers the perfect opportunity to expand our training capabilities, and we’re excited to collaborate with other innovative companies here as we continue to deliver top-tier NDT training.”

John Leake, Business Growth Director at Sci-Tech Daresbury, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are excited to welcome The Unmanned Company and Array Training to our thriving campus. Their expertise in drone simulation and NDT training perfectly aligns with the innovative culture at Sci-Tech Daresbury. We look forward to the exciting projects and collaborations that lie ahead for both companies.”

As they settle into their new space, both companies are primed to contribute to the growth of the North West’s technology sector and continue their pioneering work in their respective industries.
