Russian drone strikes on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa early on June 17 injured 13 people, including one child, according to local officials.
Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper said that as of 6:30 a.m. local time, all of the injured had been taken to the hospital.
The attack damaged several parts of the city’s civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings were among the structures hit.
Emergency workers and volunteers are on the scene, working to clear debris left by the strikes.
In addition to Odesa, Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. At least 18 people were injured there.
Odesa, a port city on the Black Sea with about 1 million residents, has often been targeted during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
