The number of people injured in a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has climbed to 39, according to local officials.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov first announced that 30 people had been hurt. Later, he updated the figure to 39 in a message posted on Telegram, Ukrainian News reported.
The attack took place around 10:10 p.m. on April 29. According to the Ukrainian News Agency, Russian forces used kamikaze drones to strike the city, injuring at least 20 people in the initial report.
Kharkiv, located in northeastern Ukraine, has been frequently targeted by drone and missile attacks since the start of the war.
